Tim Lamb is keen to be green! Just take a look at his website: www.greenesthome.com.au Read below as Tim explains how he has used the Aqua2use® GWDD at his house.
As you can see I have two bathrooms, the Aqua2use® GWDD is located outside the main bathroom with just bath and shower connected. I used the orange undersink underneath the ensuite shower (2nd picture) with then autopumps to the Aqua2use® GWDD.
The 25mm hose from the gator pro runs to front where you can see the 4-way manifold. I have the sullage drain under the front grass on station 1, with 25mm with 13mm offtakes into the garden bed. I have flush taps on the end of all 13mm pipes and the 25mm at the end of garden run. Approx 100m of 13mm has been connected in about 10 runs of 10m each. One goes under a small area of grass (where I couldn’t get the sulldrain), will see how this section goes. I have the washing machine pumping into a hose which I then move around the garden, to ensure no salt build up in soil and less cleaning of Aqua2use® GWDD.
You can see in the 2nd bottom pic the extra 25mm runs I have (station 3 and 4) one of which will give another 100m in garden beds and another which will have 5 runs of 20m sull drain under grass. You can see the green grass in the front!
the Aqua2use® GWDD is in the wood box. as you can see, I use the units a preliminary filter for the wetlands I build.
The Aqua2use® GWDD is installed above ground
1 Aqua2use® GWDD is connected to a common drain
2. Aqua2use® GWDD is harvesting greywater from 3 bathtubs, 2 showers, 3 bathroom sinks, 1 washing machine, all of which are diverted from underneath the home using diverter valves to the common drain outlet into Aqua2use® GWDD.
3. Aqua2use® GWDD is diverting 200 gallons of greywater per day into storage tank used to water landscape daily.
4. Client has stopped using mains water to irrigate well established and lush landscape. Home generates enough greywater to handle yard watering
5. Clients are conserving 72,000 gallons of water per year and have reduced overall water consumption 38%.
